"White water Rafting"

Some of the problems that I may have faced as an instructor would be to get my students to be more involved in their learning process. For example, class participation and group discussions many students will not participate in them. Another problem would be finding learning material that will help with each of my students learning styles. For example, some students are visual, kinesthetic, tactile, and auditory learners, and each learners needs to be address in a way that they can learn well.
Some other problems that I have faced and will go to the grave with me without me having them completely solved would be excessive talking during class. I tried so many ways to try to solve this problem but nothing has helped. Another problem would be repeating questions that I have already answered. I know being an educator has it's good and bad side to it. I love teaching and would not trade it in for anything in the world, but I think some problems you just can't solve.

Tough Decision

Step 1-Define the decision clearly. I have to make a decision about going to graduate school in the near future. I know going to graduate school I will receive my master’s degree, and achieve a life long dream.
Step2- Consider all the possible choices. Some possible choices besides going to graduate school would be to return to the community college and work on another two year degree, open my own business, and work full time.
Step 3- Gather all relevant information and evaluate the pros and cons of each possible choice.
Some of the pros would be having my own business, receiving another 2-year degree, income, and being my own boss. Some the cons would be working over 12hours a day, full time student, lots of school work to do,and have to manage a business on my own.
Step 4- Select the choice that seems to best meet the needs of the situation. The choice that I choose to meet my situation needs would be to go to graduate school. I will receive a higher degree, which will help me to earn a higher income in the near future.
Step 5- Implement a plan of action and then monitor the results making necessary adjustments. I will do my best to complete my bachelor’s degree in Adult Education so that I can apply for graduate school when I’m done. I will try to keep a GPA that is well enough for me to be accepted into graduate school, and make adjustments in my educational goals when necessary.

Assignment 4.2

After taking AEDU321 I learned alot about the many different learning styles such as predominantly auditory, a combination of auditory and visual, a combination of auditory and tactile, and what type of learning material that is needed to help them learn at their best. I also learn how to create assignments for my students inside and outside of the classroom for each of the learning styles. I learned how to make a blog that reflects on what I thought learning styles concepts meant to me, and added different comments to my blog to help my reader to get an idea of what learning styles are all about. After taking this class I really have a better understanding of what learning styles are and how I can better assist my learners with them.

What I learned about my learning styles would be that I'm a combination of auditory and visual learner I work best with learning material that is lectured, writing notes, and pictures. I think that my learning styles will affect my teaching because I would probably have to use more writing material, pictures, graph, and diagrams to help me to stay focus on the learner material that I'm teaching to my learners. I think that I can use this with my students by doing lessons by lecture, using diagrams to better explain a subject, and writing notes on the board. I think using these learning techniques I will help my learners and I to be better learners.

Educators should create assignments for every learning style so that students have the best environment to learn in.
I agree with this statement. I think that it's an educator’s job is to accommodate their student’s learning style. I think that creating assignments to meet each student’s learning style will be very beneficial to the student’s learning process. I also think that providing students with the best environment to learn in will help them to achieve their academic learning goals.
Too bad about learning styles if a student doesn’t learn what is being taught, it is their own fault.
I don’t agree with this statement. I think that learning styles play a very important part in a student’s learning process. I strongly feel that it’s an instructor's duty to make sure that each and every student is  learning what is being taught properly. I think that when a student is not learning properly it’s the educator fault, not the student.
In order to best help learners learn, it is better for educators and learners to know their learning styles and create a complete assignments that best fit those learning styles.
I agree with this statement. I think that it is better for educators and learners to know their learning styles because it will help students to learn better. I think that when educators create and complete assignments that best fit those learning styles it will help the student to achieve their educational learning goals. I think that educators should always have a open mind to new learning strategies, and teaching methods to help meet their student learning styles. I also think that the best way to help learners learn an educator should make learning accommodations to help meet each student’s learning style.
Learning styles cater too much and create too much hand-holding in education today survival of the smartest!
I do not agree with statement. I think that any educator that has this statement in mind should not be an educator. I think that educators should always be very helpful and supportive to their student during their educational learning experience. I do not think that learning styles cater too much hand-holding in education today. I strongly think that learning styles is a major learning tool that many students need to know about so that they can be better learners. I think becoming a smart student starts with knowing how you learn the best and this will put you on the road to being a smart student.
